To make your mark as the Consumer Credit Manager you will:
- Work in conjunction with the CRO and Operations Management to segment
the Consumer Risk loan portfolio into identifiable risk segments for
identification and understanding of product attributes, repayment /
regulatory concerns and growth opportunities. Manage underwriting so
that portfolio performance targets are achieved from an asset quality,
profitability and growth perspective.
- Assist with development and management of asset quality across the
customer segment that includes dealership owners, general managers,
employees, and direct-to-consumer clients. Relationship management
competencies include the ability to understand complex financial
profiles, the ability to provide "best in class" financial solutions and
an internal / external customer service orientation.
- Assist and manage internal and external auditors providing appropriate
feedback to audit findings while collaborating with TFSB senior
management on necessary policy/process changes.
- Develop partnerships throughout the Sales, Compliance, Finance, Risk
and Operations Departments as well as TFSB management and other
interested stakeholders to provide appropriate, and where necessary,
flexible credit solutions for the Bank's existing and prospective
clientele.
- Assist and provide feedback with the creation of new TFSB loan products
while ensuring a TFSB global perspective to risk, underwriting, and TFSB
customer and financial objectives.
- Assist Operations and Credit Risk with managing the loan origination,
title, appraisal, and closing vendors ensuring adherence to state and
government regulations, Toyota quality standards, and brand loyalty.
- Develop reporting and provide quarterly reviews and feedback to
management of vendor service quality, performance, and contractual
adherence to SLA's.
- Perform monthly safety and soundness audits from a risk and
underwriting perspective.
- Manage loan portfolio pipeline while maintaining relationships with
Sales, Operations, and vendors.
Successful candidates must have:
- Undergraduate degree required.
- MBA a plus.
- Previous experience as a mortgage and home equity underwriter with
credit authority and portfolio management experience. Experience with
Private Banking customers and/or jumbo approvals a plus. Collections
experience a plus.
- Previous experience in a credit risk management roll.
- Previous Vendor management experience required.
- Previous experience (minimum 3 years) managing team members with proven
staff development, team building, motivational, and pay for performance
abilities.
- Strong interpersonal skills.
- Strong written skills and the ability to present complex transactions
to credit committee and management in general.
- Ability to prioritize and multitask.
- Mortgage industry knowledge as it relates to: appraisals, title
insurance, escrow accounts and the secondary market.
